Restructuring Progress, Other Updates
Date: May 16th
As we mentioned in our last update we are currently in the middle of a large scale restructuring process to our website and database structure. This is a big project that will take the majority of our resources over the next month or so, but it's important we take the time and do this now so we can scale our growth and won't have any issues in the future.
The good news is after this restructure is complete it will allow us to add new features easily because each piece can run independently. It will also allow us to run full service web wallets for both Bitcoin and ClubCoin while making the platform more secure and a lot faster too.
The bad news is this will take some time away from other projects until it's finished. However, with all the recent hacks and security issues that you read about in the news this is now our top priority and something we are not willing to compromise on.
We will keep you posted on this progress and hopefully you won't even notice anything during this restructure, but if you do please don't panic becuase it will likely be a temporary display or connection issue that will fix itself quickly. We may also have some planned downtime so just be aware of this.
A Few Other Updates.
1. May 2nd Commissions Paid. For the Binary all credits rolled over to May 3rd period so basically we had a 48 hour cycle period instead of a 24 hour period from May 1st - May 3rd. This is very hard to undue so we have gone through and made some additions/corrections where needed but this really only affected members who are maxing out their daily cycles.
All the other commissions from have been paid including the Level Up, Matching bonuses and the mining pools for BTC and ETH!
2. Ethereum Pool Downtime. If you are part of our Ethereum pool you may have noticed a day where you earned 0.00 ETH. This is due to a stale block that was mined by our pool (#1477840 / 74b515b1). This caused some issues that had our pool offline for about 30 hours and the backup pool option did not work so we had a full day without hitting any blocks.
This pool is paid out daily with a few days delay so when we mine 0.00 ETH for a day it pays out exactly what we are mining in a 24 hour period. We hope this doesn't happen in the future but if it does please understand that our pool pays out exactly what is mined, there is no tricky equation or estimated hash rate you earn. You earn exactly what is mined and this could be 0 or very low numbers on some given days.
3. Replicated Websites. You may have noticed our marketing websites (bitclub.io, bitclub.network) have been up and down the past week. We had some hardware issues on the servers these domains were hosted on and have since moved everything over to new servers as of a few days ago. We should see steady uptime now and the new marketing campaigns are working and tracking like they should on these new servers.
