A terrible week and month is over, so someone would say it can only get better. Several technical problems prevented us from a proper trading this week, the only positive thing was that no money was lost (except of the few hundred $), which won’t be charged to your accounts. I will explain a bit more in the trading update, about the problems and future steps. The new month will already start tomorrow and new deposits and old balances will all be moved into Pool 1.



Trading Update

After the positive results the week before, we wanted to gradually increase the lot size for our trading. On Tuesday we found out that something is wrong, so we deactivated the system and analysed the log files to find the possible reason. There is again a problem with the order execution, but not the speed and liquidity as it was previously, this time the execution and order filling itself. We tried to manually execute orders and sometimes it only works on the second try as the orders get queued. This queuing was leading to an execution at the completely wrong time as the trading situation is different to the anticipated one from our trading system.

The not so good thing is, that this can’t even be solved by the Prime Broker as it is a problem from Metaquotes (MQ is the software company behind Metatrader and some other trading technologies). Here is the original message of the project manager of the Prime Broker we got on Thursday:

“Greetings!

There were some problems with MT gateway. We are in contact with Integral and Meta Quotes, there are some issues in gateway itself. Your order was quite small but for some reasons it wasn’t executed. We are waiting for the actions form MQ today, they must fix their gateway.”



On Friday I got following update after sending them a new screenshot showing the problem:

“Hello. Thank you for screenshots. We will send logs of this orders to Metaquotes and Integral. At last two days we tried to optimize Integral side, and we will update MQ Gateway to Integral after than MQ will find and solve this problem.”



We expect the problem to be solved within the next days, afterwards we turn the HFT system on again. Until the activation of the HFT, we do some manual trading based on our CoG (Center of Gravity) strategy which is based on Fibonacci retracements. Our goal is to generate between 3 and 5% profit with this strategy this week.

We also have a progress on the crypto currency bridge, which was finished on Thursday from technical point of view. The first money was transferred to fund the margin account as it is a different Liquidity Provider as the current one for Forex. The money should arrive tomorrow and we will start with the first tests.

We understand that your expectations are different to what you saw since the beginning of the investment, believe us our expectations and our plans were also different. We are working 7 days a week to get everything up and running as planned and as soon as we have the full and working setup of the brokerage, we can trade on all the different markets with success.
